About Us
In the South African market we serve customers such as Electrical Contractors, Power Utility Companies, Municipalities, Retailers and Farmers. Our poles comply with relevant standards, including SANS754, SANS457-3 & ISO9001:2015 requirements.
Approximately 70% of our products are destined for export to countries such as Botswana, Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya, Malawi, Zambia and Namibia. We have also exported to Ethiopia, Madagascar, DRC, Lesotho, Angola, Europe and the Middle East.
With our dedicated fleet of trucks we can deliver wooden transmission poles up to 22 meters in length to our local and export clients. We pride ourselves in quality service from pre-sales stage through to on time delivery.
Our timber is sourced internally from our own plantations and from external commercially grown plantations that comply to FSC standards.
Timberg is the front runner in the industry with regard to quality and service. The manufacturing, quality assurance, testing and research resources of Timberg are of a world-class standard. Timberg has been nominated several times by the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce as Exporter of the Year for its excellent service towards development of Africa.

Timberg have a dedicated fleet of Trucks (some equipped with cranes) with highly skilled Driver’s and are able to deliver poles to all destinations in South Africa as well as most destinations in Africa.
Our Logistics department have trained staff who are capable of ensuring fast efficient (road or rail)
cross-border deliveries as well as Shipment of poles to any destination Globally.
